The Abilene Back the Badge Foundation is excited to welcome our sponsors and shooters to the 2026 Sporting Clay Classic. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, participants, and supporters, this year's event is shaping up to be our biggest and most successful clay shoot yet. Every dollar raised helps us continue our mission of supporting local first responders and their families during times of need.

Everything will take place at 1102 E Spur 707 in Abilene (just north of AFD Fire Station 9)

Sponsor Appreciation Party

As a special thank you to our valued sponsors, all sponsors at the Lieutenant Level ($1,000) and above are invited to attend our exclusive Sponsor Appreciation Party on Friday, June 5, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, proudly sponsored by First Watch Credit Union.

The evening will begin with dinner being served promptly at 6:00 PM, followed by a brief ceremony recognizing our sponsors and highlighting the impact of their support. Guests will enjoy a delicious meal catered by Betty Rose's, one of Abilene's favorite local caterers.

Live entertainment throughout the evening will be provided by Caleb Sutton and the High Stakes Band. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore interactive displays and equipment demonstrations from the Abilene Police Department, Abilene Fire Department, and Taylor County Sheriff's Office.

Sporting Clay Classic – Saturday, June 6

The Sporting Clay Classic will take place on Saturday, June 6, featuring two shooting rotations:

• Morning Rotation: 8:15 AM

• Afternoon Rotation: 12:00 PM

All participants are encouraged to arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to their scheduled start time to complete registration and receive their custom shooter gift.

When registering, teams selected their preferred shooting time on their registration form. Shooters have been assigned to the rotation they selected. If you have questions regarding your squad assignment, please contact Back the Badge personnel for assistance.

Important Shooter Information

• This is a 100-shell course.

• Shooters must provide their own ammunition.

• Eye and ear protection are required for all participants.

• Complimentary water will be available throughout the course and under the pavilion.

• Golf carts will be available for rent through Abilene Clay Sports. Interested participants should inquire with Abilene Clay Sports personnel upon arrival.
